If I ever have a great outfit on, it probably came from @bluemoon_newnan and @randa_the_realtor most likely helped me choose it. If you’ve seen me laugh until I snort, there is a great chance @bambiedge1 is near by. My favorite lunch wrap from @redneckgourmet is a “Rusty Rooster” and @dalylee1961 is one of my favorite artists—whose beautiful work is no doubt inspired by the beautiful small town all these people and places share—Newnan, Georgia. I’ve regularly made the two hour drive from my house to Newnan for over twenty years now. The friends I’ve made are ones I cherish and to see this precious city thrust into the spotlight for negative reasons makes me physically ill. In the hours before they blocked off roads and closed up shops to prepare for the impending, misguided Neo-Nazi brigade; the children in town took to the streets and covered the sidewalks with beautiful chalk drawings. They left their marks of love and happiness everywhere for the world to see. 🌈🦄💝I love that! For those of you who don’t know Newnan like I do, please rest assured it is a small town full of love and beauty. Why these outsiders have chosen to show up here is beyond me. Everyone I know has headed for the hills and will return once the nonsense ends. I hope you will join me as I pray for their safety and as I pray for God to crack through the hardened hearts of those who are fueled by hate. May His never ending light shine through to help them see that a better way, and a better life, is there if they will only seek to serve Him. 💒 #newnan

I remember seeing this photo years ago and thinking how wonderful and “normal” it seemed. In my mind, it’s how I wanted my future to look—lolling about on a Saturday morning as I was covered in grand children. I had such admiration for Barbara Bush through the years and the image in this picture is a big reason why. Aside from her official role as a First Lady and all of her other amazing contributions to our world, it was all too clear that her biggest accomplishment and greatest joy was her family. I get that. I respect that. No matter what I may do, create or contribute to from this day forward, I will always claim motherhood as the best job I’ve ever had; and I’m more grateful than I can say that I was able to choose that as my career for so many years. I pray for blessings of comfort and peace for the entire Bush Family and I thank you all for sharing your greatest treasure with the rest of us. From housewives to heads of state—she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. 💒

Please forgive the deletion of my last post. Apparently I didn’t have proper approval to share that photo (which was snapped exactly two seconds before these “pre-approved” shots) and I do apologize. Many thanks to my loving child who’s now released these photos for public view. Apparently five days in bed with the flu left me so crazy I thought I could actually make decisions all by myself.
